Biofilm Simulation at the G.C Marine Reserve



In the first picture we put a little bit of icing on the bottom
of the graham cracker to stick it to the paper towel. The
graham cracker represented the plexiglas plate.We then
spread the icing all around the top of the graham cracker
to represent the Extracellular Polymeric Substance.We then
spread all sorts of different sprinkles around on the icing
acting as spat, larvae, and spores sticking to the plate. We
then attached a lifesaver to the top of it all to represent the
bolt. We then took a picture of the graham cracker. After
     we took the first picture we added marshmellows to our
graham crackers to represent the adult forms. We then took
another picture as the final results.
