Algae in the Cupboard

I think Mrs.Richardson made us look at different household items to find these three types of algae to show us that algae is in more things then we had expected. She wanted us to see how common it really is.

In this Velveeta cheese, I found the algae called Alginates.
It was strange because the regular cheese at my house
contained Beta carotene. Just goes to show, two of the
same foods can contain two totally different ingredients.

In this cook & serve Jello, I found the algae Carrageenan.

In these one-a-day men's vitamins, I found
the algae Beta carotene.

This zigzag figure is Phytoplankton. It is also
Holoplankton. Their size is micro. Their adaption is their

This organism is both Phytoplankton & Zooplankton.
Their sizes are macro & micro. Their adaptations are
the little hairs that help them move.

This worm is Zooplankton. It is also Holoplankton.
Their size is macro. Their adaptions are their little hairs
for movement.
